The HSA's are designed as a unique way for PTA units, councils, and districts to publicly acknowledge both individuals and organizations for outstanding community service to children and youth in a community.

 

 

Very Special Person Award: Given to an individual that has made a significant impact on the community.

 

Continuing Service Award: Given to a person whose contribution has been significant over a continuing period of time.

 

Honorary Service Award: Given to an individual or organization in the PTA, school, or community in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.

Golden Oak Service Award: Given to recognize exceptional service to children and youth; it is the California State PTA's most prestigious award.

 

Outstanding Teacher Award: Given to a teacher in the school in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.

 

Outstanding Administrator Award: Given to an administrator in the school in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth.
