Honor Your Child's Birthday with a Special Celebration!
Looking for a unique way to celebrate your child’s birthday? Join the Running Springs Academy School Birthday Book & Banner Club and make their special day even more memorable!
The Book Part:
In the month of your child’s birthday, a book will be selected by the school according to OUSD library standards and dedicated to your child. A special Birthday Book Club label with your child’s name will be placed inside the cover, and the book will be donated to the Running Springs Library. Your child will be the first to check out the book and will receive a certificate of recognition. Additionally, your child’s name will be displayed in a designated area in the library.
The Banner Part:
Along with the book donation, your child’s name will be showcased on our marquee by the MPR! If their birthday falls on a weekend, holiday, or school break, the banner will be displayed on a school day close to their birthday so you can take photos and share the celebration with their friends.
The Chairperson will email the parent contact listed with the child's marquee date about one to two months before their birthday. For August and September birthdays, scheduling will occur shortly after the deadline.
Cost & Deadline:
The Birthday Book & Banner Club is $25 per student. The deadline to order is September 10, 2024.

Due to the generosity of our parents who donate to the Birthday Book club, we are able to add around 300 new titles yearly to our collection. Our collection now stands at over 15,000 books. We have books for every grade level and every Lexile supporting the Scholastic Reading Counts program.
All classrooms schedule a weekly library time so that students can check out books. All books are due back the following week during their library class time. If a student damages or loses a book, they will be asked to pay for a replacement.
